Living outdoors.

With footpaths and cycleways linking each part of the neighbourhood, in Wichelstowe you’ll want to be out and about.

The towpath which runs alongside the historic Wilts and Berks Canal provides a picturesque route to amble to the shops or a perfect Sunday morning run.

The Southern Flyer provides a quick and easy cycle connection to the town centre and the old railway path along the north of the site offers views across Wichelstowe and is part of National Cycle Route 45.

The green spaces around Wichelstowe are home to water voles, great crested newts, owls and badgers as well as the herons which can be regularly spotted on the canal or lakes. The green spaces will be opened up to the people who will make Wichelstowe their home but will also be improved to provide thriving wildlife habitats.
