Public Exhibition on reserved matters application for the foodstore at the new district centre at Middle Wichel
Kilo Properties Ltd have prepared a reserved matters planning application for the development of a foodstore as part of the new district centre at Middle Wichel, as the next step in the creation of a sustainable community at Wichelstowe.
The district centre already benefits from outline planning permission, in addition the Council has undertaken consultation on the Design Codes for the district centre which control the appearance of the building. The foodstore application has been developed in accordance with these documents and has involved extensive pre-application discussions with the Council. The foodstore forms the first phase of the development of the district centre.
Members of the community were invited to comment on the draft proposals; Kilo Properties Ltd hosted a series of drop in public exhibitions on:
- Thursday 14th Feb (3.30-8.00pm) East Wichel Primary School
- Friday 15th Feb (9.30am – 1.00pm) Ridgeway School, Wroughton

Comment forms were made available at the exhibitions.
Members of the project team were available at the exhibitions to help explain the proposals and answer any questions.
The deadline for comments was the 15th November 2012.
Improvements to Mill Lane
A scheme for speed control and improvements of Mill Lane were developed by the Local Highway Authority in order to facilitate the Waitrose supermarket. Local Highway Authority officers were also available at the exhibition to help explain the draft proposals and receive feedback from members of the community.
